We use and sell Quality Finishes and Coatings for Timber Floors
Unless you have purchased "pre-finished" floorboards, Australian Hardwood Timber Flooring require finishing with a Timber Floor Coating, Penetrating Floor Oil, or a special type of Varnish. Better Timber Flooring has the full range of products and expert advice on water based, non toxic options that will ensure the safety of your family and pets.
Real timber floorboards
We don't do vinyl, but if it is a solid timber floor on joists and bearers, or a floating floor laid straight on over those 1980's ceramic floor tiles, then we can supply real hardwood timber floorboards in either solid or engineered form. Both of these options can be further specified to use only recycled, reclaimed or re-milled timber, representing the ultimate in sustainability. We can also supply bamboo flooring, and custom cut parquetry. Always ready to provide expert timber flooring advice to weekend warriors and DIYers.
The Sub-Floor of your Timber Floor
The majesty and beauty of a natural hardwood timber floor is timeless and should remain so, but only if you don't have any sub-floor issues. The sub-floor is the bit you can't see, and unfortunately if it is not done right, or if you don't have an adequate sub floor system in place, then you could have some flooring problems in the future. Learn more about sub-floor systems and Better Timber Flooring's approach to dealing with sub-floors for timber floor installations. .
